Annie Pearce is Co-President for Attended, a full-service event design and management firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Annie’s career spans roles in brand strategy, grass roots marketing, and event management for a variety of companies, including a fortune 500 company, non-profits, and startups.
She was the Event Director of Fail Fest in 2015. The event brought together local entrepreneurs who swapped stories behind their entrepreneurial spirit. During Fail Fest, attendees weren’t just passive participants, I got them involved as well. Having to pitch ideas, learning to juggle and doing some public speaking of their own – were all be ways that attendees got involved throughout the day.
Annie was on the founding team of the High Five Conference. She was the Exhibitors Director for the first two years. Annie collaborated with multiple companies to brainstorm creative booth ideas.
Before starting Attended, Annie worked at Sanford Area Growth Alliance, a public-private partnership and merger of the Lee County Economic Development Corporation and Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce. At the Growth Alliance, she designed events that increased attendance, sponsorship, and interaction (including social media).
Previously, Annie worked at Vaporware, a technology startup. While there she crafted a branding strategy to move the company from startup to growth in the business life cycle.
Annie holds BS and MS degrees in Integrated Marketing Communication from Ithaca College and Northwestern University respectively. She’s Vice President of Communications of the Triangle American Marketing Association and a member of Innovate Raleigh.
